Coastal Theme Style Inspiration by Julie Ann Rachelle Interiors LLC

I recently designed a beautiful coastal eclectic living room/dining room space that I'm excited to share with you.

My main objective was to provide two conversation seating areas besides the dining space.

Coastal style is about ocean hues, reflective surfaces, soft furnishings, openness, mix of modern and traditional, and much more! Read now and pin to share. — Render and Design by Julie Ann Rachelle Interiors LLC

One of these seating areas faces a wall with a television, while the other faces a breathtaking view.

I also added coastal-style blinds to elevate the ambiance further.

The dining area allowed me to showcase the client's personality.

I used Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue, to execute a coastal vibe as much as possible.

To create a sense of symmetry and repetition, I used identical sofas back to back, with three identical armchairs, creating a sense of rhythm.

The cream-colored sofas are often seen in coastal design and enhance the calming mood.

I chose rattan for the mirror in the dining area, as well as for the coffee tables.

The wood type for the flooring and dining table top was also chosen to align with the coastal decor theme.

Two walls in the space have wallpaper, while the two main window walls were left untouched to enjoy the beautiful view outside.

Overall, I am thrilled with how this space turned out.

It's inviting, cozy, and perfect for entertaining or relaxing.

Whether you're hosting guests or spending a quiet night, this coastal eclectic living room/dining room space will make you feel at home.

In my previous career prior to starting my own firm, I was a designer for various scrapbook manufacturers as part of their design team. This required me to make samples for their advertising purposes in order to demonstrate their products. After starting my home office refresh, I wanted to think about how to design a French Country Cottage/Shabby Chic look with a calming and inspiring atmosphere. This had to be accomplished on a budget, and so my husband began our thrifting adventures for office furnishings. All of this occurred in the midst of the pandemic in the fall of 2020.

Is your home office uninspiring? Your psychological well-being and somatic health will both improve from a designated relaxation area or meditation spot since it will prevent you from slumping over your workspace for 8 hours.

To create a positive atmosphere in your workspace, add plants, paint the walls your favorite color, and have just the right amount of lighting. Provide your pet with a vantage point where they can watch you work and be close for cuddles. It's not uncommon for people to decorate their offices to feel at ease and content, and this can result in an increase in productivity, explains Steven Schiavo, a Wesley College professor who specializes in environmental psychology.
